The medical college is situated in about 110 km North-East from Dhaka city & well communicated by road & railway. The college & hospital are equipped with all modern facilities having a beautiful landscape within campus in a calm & quite environment.
Starting from 1992, the college is running the five years MBBS course under the affiliation of Dhaka University. After passing the final professional examination the certificate of MBBS degree is awarded by Dhaka University. It is recognized worldwide including WHO.
At present the college admits 100 students (25% Foreigners) every year that are fully accommodated in the students separate boys & girls hostels within the campus. The MBBS course extends over a period of five academic years and then one year compulsory residential internship. Internship training is optional for the foreign students during which the institution use to pay the internee doctors as per existing rules.

The main objective of this medical college is to produce qualified medical graduates through need based and community oriented medical education. So that after graduation the doctors achieve the knowledge and skill, which will make them able to:
Solve common health problems of the community people, handle emergency medicine and manage public health programmes.

Admission of Foreign students:
Application from foreign students is received by the month of August-September each year for the admission in first year MBBS class which usually starts from January next year. Application form may be downloaded from website. Govt. Rule is followed for the admission of foreign students.
